Yang Jifeng and Zhang Peng from Jinan Oil Painting Society were invited to attend the 2023 BASI Peace and Friendship Forum and Cultural Art Salon

The recent 2023 BASI Peace and Friendship Forum and Cultural Art Salon was held in Dujiangyan. The theme of this forum was "Friendly Communication, Shared Peace," aiming to build a bridge for cultural exchange and promote the prosperity and development of global peace culture. Among the attendees were representatives from countries engaged in panda diplomacy, experts and scholars in the cultural field, as well as representatives of friendly individuals. Members of the Jinan Oil Painting Society, Yang Jifeng and Zhang Peng were invited to participate.

The BASI Cultural Art Salon and artist sketching activities were important components of this forum, with fifteen painters from eight provinces across the country participating. Members of the Jinan Oil Painting Society have been continuously learning and exploring their respective fields of painting. They have maintained a strong enthusiasm for sketching and creation, seeking guidance from teachers, exchanging ideas with fellow artists, and actively participating in various art exhibitions and training activities, achieving some accomplishments.

During the time of sketching, the artists conducted in-depth field investigations and sketched on location at various places, including the Tai'an Ancient Town in the Qingcheng Mountains, the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, and the National Agriculture Park. With their brushes in hand, they depicted the profound historical and cultural landscapes of Dujiangyan and the development of modern agricultural parks. At the same time, they also expressed the artists' peace concept of friendly communication to the world, brought by the BASI.
