IRAETA Invited to Attend China–Spain Innovation Enterprise Exchange Conference
On April 15, during the official visit of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to China, the Ministry of Commerce of China and Spain’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business jointly hosted the China–Spain Innovation Enterprise Exchange Conference in Beijing. Prime Minister Sánchez and Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao attended the event and delivered speeches, while Chinese Ambassador to Spain Yao Jing was also present as a witness. Niu Yugang, Chairman of IRAETA Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. (“IRAETA”), was invited to attend as a representative of the clean energy equipment sector and participated in in-depth discussions with Chinese and Spanish business representatives on technological R&D and investment cooperation.
As a Sino-Spanish joint venture, IRAETA has long regarded itself as both a participant in and a witness to the deepening and solidification of China–Spain economic and trade relations. As Prime Minister Sánchez noted at the conference, bilateral relations are currently at their “best in history.” IRAETA has benefited significantly from the extensive cooperation between the two countries in trade, investment, and industrial manufacturing, and has consistently adhered to an innovation-driven approach while exploring new models through industrial chain integration. The invitation to attend this conference not only reflects recognition of IRAETA’s past achievements, but also affirms its role as a Sino-Spanish joint venture in promoting industrial collaboration in the energy sector.
Following the conference, Niu Yugang stated that the emphasis on the “continued deepening of industrial chain integration” was truly inspiring. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of leaders from both countries, China–Spain cooperation has demonstrated increasing resilience. In particular, as 2026 marks the launch of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, the country’s firm commitment to high-level opening-up has instilled strong confidence in enterprises like IRAETA with a Sino-Spanish joint venture background. There is vast potential for cooperation in areas such as clean energy and high-end equipment manufacturing.
As an innovation demonstration hub for China–Spain cooperation in clean energy and deep-sea engineering equipment, IRAETA will continue to leverage its industrial foundations in both countries. It aims to further deepen the integration of industrial and supply chains, create more landmark cooperation projects in the new energy equipment sector, and contribute to mutually beneficial economic development between China and Spain.
